What is a ‘genuine’ spare part?

A genuine spare part is a part supplied by the manufacturer of the equipment, in their packaging and is identical in fit, form, function and specification to the parts that were fitted, to the original equipment in the manufacturer's production facility. Use of genuine spare parts lengthens the life of the products they are fitted to and preserves the manufacturer's warranty.

How do I find the number for the part I need?

If you do not know the part number you require, you can contact our helpful parts team who will discuss your requirement. It is helpful to have your engine model and serial number handy (if available), with a clear description of the part you require. Enquiries are preferred by email if possible, so that we can keep an audit trail for the enquiry, but equally we can take enquiries over the phone, which we appreciate is more convenient for customers.

Do the spare parts have a warranty?

Typically, our spare parts have a one year warranty, though this varies depending on the manufacturer of the part. Please contact us for specific clarification if required.

Are you supplying the original part, or a substitute?

We are genuine spare parts specialists! As a rule, we will always offer the genuine factory-approved part, direct from the manufacturer in genuine packaging, in the first instance. If the manufacturer lead time is long (due to Covid supply chain issues or otherwise), we will sometimes offer aftermarket alternatives to help the customer, however, this will always be clearly stated. With certain electrical items (such as starter motors, alternators etc) we will offer the customer the genuine part and an aftermarket alternative, so that you can make the most informed choice, based on stock availability and price.
